SigenStor puts the solar inverter, the battery, the battery inverter, the energy manager and an optional DC car charger into one stack. Sigenergy calls it 5-in-1. Here is everything it does.

The system

The battery
- LFP (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry, the safest common home battery chemistry
- Large 314 Ah cells
- 6 kWh and 9 kWh modules, one to six per stack
- All of the usable capacity can be used every day
- An optimiser in every module, so a new module can join old ones years later
- Built in heating, and runs from −20 to 55 °C, so a Trentham frost is no trouble
Safety
- Five layers of protection in every battery module: temperature sensors, a pressure relief valve, aerogel heat barriers between the cells, high temperature insulation and its own fire extinguisher
- Arc fault detection on the solar inputs
- Insulation and residual current monitoring
- Surge protection and anti islanding
- Remote health checks and one tap system diagnosis
Blackout backup
- With the Sigen Gateway, a 0 ms switchover on your circuits, so the lights stay on
- Back up the whole home (100 A single phase) or only the circuits you choose
- Short bursts of 150% of its rating to start pumps and motors
- Generator ready, with automatic start and control from the app
- Runs fully off grid when the system is sized for it
- Can restart from solar, battery or generator after a total shutdown
EV charging
- A DC charging module that slots into the stack, 12.5 or 25 kW, with a CCS2 plug
- An AC wall charger: 7 kW single phase, or 11 or 22 kW three phase
- Charging modes: 100% solar, solar boost, battery boost, fast, and AI
- Load management and automatic one or three phase switching

Why we fit it
One stack, one app, one phone call.
Most battery systems are three or four boxes from different makers, each with its own app. When something goes wrong, they can blame each other.
With SigenStor the panels feed one stack, the car can charge off the same stack, and the whole lot answers to one app and one warranty. We see the same app you do, so we can check on your system without a visit.

Straight answers
Questions we get asked.
Was there a Sigenergy recall?
Yes. In November 2025 some single phase energy controllers with quick connect AC plugs were recalled because of a fire risk. Sigenergy replaces the controller and adds two years to the warranty. Three phase systems were not affected. If you're one of our customers and unsure, ring us and we'll check your serial number.
Does it need the internet?
It keeps running without it, but the full warranty needs the system online. After 90 days offline it goes into a safe mode, and after a year offline the warranty drops to 5 years. We connect it at install.
Can it run off grid?
Yes, with the Sigen Gateway and a system sized for your winter usage. A generator can be added with automatic start.
Will it get the federal battery rebate?
Yes. SigenStor is on the Clean Energy Council's approved list. We confirm the exact combination on your quote.
How long will the battery last?
The warranty guarantees 70% of the capacity after 10 years, or a set amount of energy through the battery, whichever comes first. LFP cells age slowly, and most homes use far less than that limit.
