Fronius has been making solar inverters since 1992 and has run its Australian office in Melbourne since 2010. The GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter pairs with Fronius's own Reserva battery, or with BYD.
The inverter
GEN24 Plus, single or three phase.
Single phase
Primo GEN24 Plus
3 to 10 kW. Solar and battery in one inverter for most homes.
Three phase
Symo GEN24 Plus
3 to 10 kW, plus a 12 kW model. From 6 kW up it can run three phase loads like a heat pump during a blackout.

Supported from Melbourne
European made, with Fronius's Australian office in Melbourne handling warranty and service. Installers have voted it best for after sales support five years running.
Its batteries
Reserva, Fronius's own battery.
Reserva arrived in Australia in October 2025. It is lithium iron phosphate, the safest common home battery chemistry, and it grows in small steps, so you can buy what you need now and add to it later.
We also fit BYD Battery-Box Premium (HVS and HVM) with Fronius. It is a proven pairing and you'll see it on plenty of our jobs.
- 3.15 kWh modules, 6.3 to 15.8 kWh in each tower
- Up to four towers on one inverter
- Up to 38.4 kWh on single phase and 63 kWh on three phase
- 10 year warranty, with 80% of the capacity at year 10
- Inverter and battery from the same maker, so one company answers for the system

Fronius backup is not instant. The lights go off briefly before the backup comes on. For gear that can't take a break, like medical equipment or a server, we'd look at a system with near instant switchover.

Fronius's EV charger. It charges the car on spare solar from as little as 1.38 kW, and switches between one and three phase.

Sends spare solar into your electric hot water instead of exporting it for a few cents.
10 year Warranty Plus
Parts, servicing and transport covered for 10 years once the inverter is registered on Solar.web. It can be extended to 15 years.
