Victron Energy
Off grid power, built to keep going.
Victron has made inverters in the Netherlands since 1975. Its inverter chargers, solar chargers and monitoring are the backbone of most of our off grid systems, because they handle a generator properly, grow in small steps and can be checked from anywhere.

What it does
Inverter, charger and switch in one box.
At the heart of a Victron system is the inverter charger. It turns the battery's DC into 230 V AC for the house, charges the battery from a generator or the grid when one is running, and switches between them automatically.
The Quattro goes a step further with two AC inputs, so a property can have the grid and a generator, or two generators, and the Quattro connects to whichever is live.
- MultiPlus-II from 3 to 15 kVA on a 48 V battery
- Quattro for two AC sources, switched automatically
- A second output for loads you only want running on generator or grid power, like hot water or air conditioning
- A low power search mode that cuts its own draw when nothing is switched on

Built for off grid
Where Victron earns its place.
Never overloads the generator
PowerControl watches the generator and holds the charging back so the generator is never pushed past what it can give.
The battery helps the generator
PowerAssist adds battery power on top of a small generator or a weak supply, so a big load like a pump or a welder starts without stalling it.
Starts the generator for you
The generator starts and stops on battery level, load or temperature, with quiet hours overnight, regular test runs and warm up and cool down times.
Grows in small steps
Add solar chargers as the array grows, and up to six inverters in parallel or across three phases, up to 90 kVA.
Every part
What goes into a Victron system.
Inverter chargers
- MultiPlus-II 3, 5, 8, 10 and 15 kVA, 48 V
- 2.4 to 12 kW continuous, with peaks of 5.5 to 27 kW to start motors
- Quattro and Quattro-II with two AC inputs
- Under 20 ms transfer, so computers and fridges keep running
- Parallel and three phase configurations
Solar chargers
- SmartSolar MPPT, up to 99% efficient
- The smaller models are fanless and silent
- MPPT RS for big arrays, up to 450 V of panels on two or four trackers and 11.5 kW of charging
- Bluetooth built in for setup and checks on site
- An existing Fronius or other grid inverter can be kept and AC coupled in
The brain
- Cerbo GX system controller, or the Ekrano GX with a built in 7 inch touchscreen
- GX Touch screen on the wall, showing solar, battery and loads at a glance
- Runs the generator rules, the battery limits and the alarms
- Open to Modbus TCP and Node-RED for custom automation
Batteries
- Works with the leading 48 V lithium batteries, talking to each one's management system
- Victron's own Lithium Smart batteries
- Lead acid supported for older systems
- Battery limits enforced by the GX, so the battery is never run outside its range
Monitoring
- Free VRM portal and app, with no subscription
- Live and historical solar, battery, generator and load data
- Email and app alarms for low battery, faults and generator starts
- Remote settings and firmware updates
Warranty
- 5 years on inverter chargers and solar chargers
- Extendable to 10 years
- 3 years on Victron's own lithium batteries
- Claims go through us as your Victron dealer
Monitoring
We can see it, wherever you are.
Every system we build reports to Victron's free VRM portal. You see the battery, the solar and the generator on your phone, and so do we.
Because settings and firmware can be changed remotely, a lot of problems are fixed without anyone driving out. For a property two hours from Trentham, that matters.
- Alarms for a low battery or a generator that didn't start
- A year of history to size the next upgrade properly
- Battery level on the wall screen, so the whole family can read it

Housed properly
Indoor gear, built into the right place.
Victron's inverter chargers are rated for indoor use. On a farm or a bush block we put them in a shed plant room or a ventilated weatherproof cabinet, away from dust, rain and the sun.
They have fans and hum under load, so we put them where you won't hear them, never on a bedroom wall.

Straight answers
Is Victron right for you?
Why not a simple all in one battery?
For a home on the grid, an all in one like Sigenergy or GoodWe ESA is simpler and usually cheaper. Victron is a set of parts that a designer puts together. That costs more up front, but it is what you want off grid, where the system has to run a generator, grow over time and keep going for decades.
Does it need an expert to set up?
Yes. A Victron system is only as good as its design and programming. We size the inverter, battery, solar and generator together, set every limit, and test it under load before we hand it over.
Who do I call if something goes wrong?
Us. Victron supports its products through its dealers, so warranty claims and service go through us. Most faults we can look at remotely first.
Can I keep my existing solar inverter?
Often, yes. A grid inverter like a Fronius can be AC coupled into a Victron system, so the panels you already own keep working.
Which batteries do you pair it with?
Most often PowerPlus Energy, made in Melbourne, set up to PowerPlus's own Victron guide. Victron works with most leading 48 V lithium batteries, and we choose the battery for the job, its warranty and how it will be serviced.
