Off-grid region
Off-grid power across Central Victoria.
Our own back yard — the ranges, the goldfields, and the bush blocks tucked in behind them where the powerline stops a kilometre short.
The country
What Central Victoria asks of a system.
This is where we live and where most of our off-grid work has been done. Steep, timbered blocks around Blackwood, Lyonville and Trentham; open country out past Malmsbury and Newstead; a lot of properties where the grid is close enough to see and expensive enough to be pointless.
The design challenge here is shading and winter yield. Tall gums and narrow valleys cost you more generation than people expect, and a Central Victorian winter is genuinely dark. We survey the site properly and will often recommend a ground mount in a clear paddock over a shaded roof, even though it costs more up front.
- Heavy tree cover and valley shading modelled before the array is sized
- Winter yield in the ranges is well below the state average — we design for it
- Bushfire-rated equipment placement and cable routing where the BAL demands it
- Close enough to Trentham that support is same-week, not next-month

Towns we work in
Across Central Victoria.
These are the centres we're regularly in. If your property isn't near one of them, ask anyway — off-grid is the work we'll travel for.
Other regions
Everywhere else we go off-grid.

Tell us where the property is, what's on it and what you need to run. We'll tell you honestly whether standalone power stacks up, and what it would take.
