Trentham Energy

Service area

Solar and batteries in Carlsruhe.

A small township between Kyneton and Woodend, bypassed by the freeway, with a settler history from 1837.

Carlsruhe

What Carlsruhe needs from a system.

Carlsruhe lies between Woodend and Kyneton at about 526 metres and was named after Karlsruhe in Germany, where early settler Charles Ebden went to school. Ebden settled at nearby Sugarloaf Creek in 1837, making this one of the earliest inland settlements in the Port Phillip District. The Calder Freeway now bypasses the township.

Being off the main road means it is a quiet spot of old houses, a graveyard with nineteenth century headstones and farmland. The older homes here call for a proper look at the roof and the wiring before anything is decided, and the farms around them are more about sheds and pumps.

Questions

Asked about solar in Carlsruhe.

What do you check on an older house before fitting panels?
The roof structure and its fixings, the condition of the switchboard and whether the wiring is safe to connect to. It is a short list but it decides whether the system can go on as planned or whether another job has to come first.
How big a solar system do people put in around Carlsruhe?
About 10 kW is the middle of what we have put in closest to Carlsruhe, with the range running from 4 kW up to 22.5 kW. We size yours from your bill and what your roof can hold.
What battery sizes have you installed near Carlsruhe?
Anything from 5.5 kWh to 48 kWh on recent jobs nearby, with about 24 kWh most typical. Your evening and overnight use sets the size.
Do you work with single phase and three phase supply near Carlsruhe?
Yes. Our recent jobs nearby include both, and the inverter is chosen to match the supply at your place.
Who handles the connection to the power network?
We do. The connection application is part of the job.

What we do here

Everything, in Carlsruhe.

We design the whole system rather than just the panels: solar, storage, hot water, climate and the electrical behind it. One design, one point of contact, and one company carrying the warranty afterwards.
