What we found
Trading: Google still lists Newgen Energy as open; its website http://www.newgenenergy.com.au/contact.html still loads.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said
3 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
No 5-star reviews were provided, so there is nothing to report on what customers praised at sale, install or after.
The 1 star reviews say
Both 1-star reviews say the system stopped working or was never properly connected, with one describing poor panel installation, roof damage and internal water leakage. Customers also say the company does not respond after the sale and that a promised 40% power bill saving never happened.
