What we found
Trading: Google still lists Mackie Electric & Refrigeration, Mackies Taree as open (120 reviews); its website https://mackiesgroup.com.au/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gmb still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 4 September 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.

The 5 star reviews say
Reviewers praise the sales staff for being clear, helpful and professional, and the installers for being on time, tidy, courteous and quick, with one reviewer noting the paperwork and grid connection were handled well. Most of this praise is about the sale and the install itself, with one review written before installation.
