What we found
Trading: Google still lists Island Energy as open (105 reviews); its website http://www.islandenergy.com.au/ still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 11 September 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said
44 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
Five-star reviews praise the sales stage for a thorough on-site or phone consultation, fair quotes and responsive staff, and the install stage for polite, tidy and punctual installers who handled paperwork and grid connection. Several also mention the app walkthrough after installation.
The 1 star reviews say
The single one-star review says the system was installed and passed inspection but was not connected to the grid, with the reviewer finding out only when the distributor queried a pre-approval application and the installer was contacted about a missing form.
