What we found
Trading: Google still lists Hytech Solar as open (116 reviews); its website https://hytechsolar.com.au/ still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 5 August 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said
18 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
Five-star reviews praise the up-front quotes, the salesperson Luke, government rebate help and interest-free loan arrangements at the sale stage, and at install they describe a quick, tidy and professional crew. Some later reviews say the system is performing well and the app is useful.
The 1 star reviews say
One-star reviews describe a roof that was damaged and leaked, and burnt switchboard wiring that two independent electricians linked to a loose earth connection. The customer says the company agreed to send someone out but never followed up, and a separate reviewer says bills did not fall as promised and an install stalled for two years with the grid connection never completed.
