What we found
Trading: Google still lists Home Efficiency Group as open (171 reviews); its website https://heg.com.au/ still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 26 October 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.

The 5 star reviews say
Reviewers praise the sales staff for being thorough, friendly and not pushy, the installers for being punctual, tidy, polite and quick, and the after-install walkthroughs of inverters and monitoring apps. Several also say HEG handled rebates, finance and permits well.
