What we found
Trading: Google still lists Hobbs Electrical Co. as open (12 reviews); its website https://www.hobbsgroup.com.au/electrical still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 21 October 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said
The 50 most recent of its 63 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
Reviewers praise the sales stage for in-person site visits, clear quotes, honest advice and flexibility on system design, and the install stage for punctual, polite, tidy crews who finished on time and explained the system afterwards. Several also mention good after-install help with setup, software and the grid connection.
