Why we think this
Under threat because SolarQuotes has been told it went out of business. Still trading signs: Google still lists Hawking Electrical as open (8 reviews); its website https://www.hawking.com.au/ still loads; ABN 77600142854 (HAWKING ELECTRICAL ENERGY SOLUTIONS PTY LTD) is still active. Only customer reports so far. An ASIC or ABR change would confirm it.
The date comes from: Last SolarQuotes review (last seen trading).
One sign of trouble (a cancelled name or ABN, a dead website, a run of one star reviews) but not enough to call it closed.
What customers said
The 48 most recent of its 194 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
Praise centres on the sales and design stage (free site visits, clear quotes, honest advice on shading and system size, named staff like James and Michael) and on the install itself (punctual, polite, tidy crews). Several also praise responsive after-sales help in the months following the install.
The 1 star reviews say
Complaints cover poor after-sales service (unanswered calls and emails, faulty inverters or air conditioners declared out of warranty, faults not fixed), install delays and defects, a price change after the deposit was paid, and cheap components described as unfit for purpose.
