What we found
Trading: Google still lists GI Energy as open (156 reviews); its website https://gienergy.com.au/ still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 18 October 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.

Reviewers praise the sales and quoting staff (James, Matt, Tom, Thomas, Shannan) for patient, clear explanations, accurate quotes and no hard selling, and the installers for being on time, neat and tidy. Several also mention GI Energy handling grid approval, registration and follow-up after the install.
