What we found
Trading: Google still lists Generate Energy as open (127 reviews); its website https://www.gnr8nrg.com.au/?utm_source=GMBlisting&utm_medium=organic still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 1 September 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said
The 50 most recent of its 166 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
Reviewers praise the sales and quoting stage for clear, honest advice without high pressure, tailored system design and reasonable pricing, then the install stage for punctual, tidy, efficient crews who explained the system and set up the monitoring app. Several also mention good follow-up after the install, including warranty and inverter claims handled well.
The 1 star reviews say
The single 1-star review says that about nine months after a roughly $40,000 install of a 19.8kW system with two Tesla batteries, the system did not work correctly and the business did not answer calls or texts, with its voicemail full.
