What we found
Trading: Google still lists East Gippsland Solar as open (17 reviews); its website http://egsolar.com.au/ still loads.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said

The 5 star reviews say
Reviewers praise the sale and install stage: friendly, flexible and honest staff, competitive quotes, installers who do the work themselves rather than subcontracting, keeping customers informed at each step, and quick, efficient installs. Several also note the company has been established for years and provides ongoing support for maintenance and questions.
The 1 star reviews say
The single 1-star review complains about after-install service: an inverter failure in July was still unfixed in September, two scheduled repair visits were missed without communication, the manufacturer's replacement had been supplied over a month earlier, and the customer had no commitment on warranty work and had contacted consumer affairs, with VCAT possible.
