What we found
Trading: its website https://www.captaingreen.com.au/ still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 8 May 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said
The 50 most recent of its 667 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
The 5-star reviews praise the sales staff (John, Alex, Daniel, Harry and others) for prompt, clear quoting and follow-up, competitive pricing, and installers who arrived on time, worked quickly, left sites tidy and set up the app before leaving. Several also mention help with grid connection and aftercare checks after the install.
The 1 star reviews say
The single 1-star review says a deposit was taken after the quote was agreed and the company then never contacted the customer again, with the reviewer doubting the contact number was real.
