What we found
Trading: Google still lists Banana Solar as open (167 reviews); its website http://bananasolar.com.au/ still loads; it had a SolarQuotes review on 18 August 2026.
Open for business: Google, its own website or recent reviews show it trading. A cancelled old name or ABN beside a business that plainly trades on is a restructure, not a closure.
What customers said
The 49 most recent of its 243 SolarQuotes reviews
The 5 star reviews say
Reviewers praise the sales and quoting stage for clear, patient advice, fair or competitive pricing and sizing that suited their roof and usage, then the install stage for punctual, tidy, professional crews, with some noting a warranty honoured by the company after an inverter failure.
The 1 star reviews say
The single 1-star review says the install went ahead as planned but commissioning and app setup were poorly explained, and after a later rain event water leaks appeared on the ceiling; the reviewer says calls and messages took a week to get a visit, cracked tiles were only partly fixed, and there was no follow-up.
